Since 1984, CNA has underwritten a professional liability insurance program for nurses exclusively with our managing general underwriter (MGU) partner Aon Affinity Insurance Services, marketed nationally as Nurses Service Organization (NSO). NSO is the preferred provider of malpractice insurance for registered nurses (RNs), licensed professional nurses/licensed vocational nurses (LPNs/LVNs), advanced practice nurse practitioners (APRNs) and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs).

As the country’s leading underwriter for nursing professionals, we provide malpractice insurance for individuals and small groups of nurses. In fact, we are endorsed by over 80 national, state and specialty healthcare associations, including the American Nurses Association and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

To help nursing professionals manage claims and understand exposures, we provide dedicated resources like our Claims management team. These highly specialized professionals, including attorneys and healthcare professionals, provide responsive service that earns industry-leading Net Promoter Scores.
