Vice President, Underwriting – Manufacturing and Durable Goods

Matt serves as Vice President, Underwriting located out of CNA’s headquarters in Chicago.  He is responsible for providing overall underwriting excellence and directs the development and implementation of strategy and operational objectives for the Manufacturing and Durable Goods industry segment’s commercial book.

 

Matt joined CNA in 2009 as a Middle Market Underwriter, and has also held the positions of Underwriting Manager and Branch Underwriting Director for the Chicago Branch, and Commercial Underwriting Officer for the Chicago, Illinois and Wisconsin Branches.  He most recently served as a Territory Commercial Underwriting Officer responsible for commercial lines underwriting excellence and executing enterprise strategies for the Arkansas, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Illinois, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Oklahoma, St. Louis, and Wisconsin Branches.

 

Matt received a bachelor's degree in Risk Management and Insurance from The Ohio State University.
